Color

Creating a harmonious palette is the foundation to beautiful art. This piece was made for a uni-project, where a ladybug would move on a grid and eat all the lice that where spawned. The huge pixels in the back correspond with the grid the ladybug moves on.

Here is a link to the project.

Composition

Composition might be at it's most difficult when designing levels. The canvas always moves with the player and every point of view must be taken into account. This piece is a hub level for my Artemis RPG.

Study into light

social image

To make art really come alive you need lighting and shading. The walls in this piece might be made out of simple grey clay, that monotony is broken when light coming through the windows hits and a range of colors appear.

This peace is greatly inspired by 19th-century painter, Francois Marius Granet.

Low frame rate

social image

I love doing low frame-rate animation, when implemented correctly it can add another dimension to a piece. Leaving some space for your brain to fill in the gaps between frames, resulting in a personal experience.

This animation is the main menu for my latest project. XAleste.
